Warranty Details

Parts and equipment coverage comes from the manufacturer, not from Delta. Most new heating and cooling systems we install carry a 10-year manufacturer parts warranty once the equipment is registered, and Delta registers it for you. Terms vary by brand and model, so check your brand in the table under Manufacturer Warranty Resources.

The 10-year figure applies to new systems. Parts used in repairs are not covered by it, and we’ll tell you what applies before a repair.

Water heaters (Ruud) carry the manufacturer’s warranty: 6 or 8 years on the tank and parts, depending on the model we install. Our premium install includes Ruud’s ProtectionPlus extended warranty, which is bought through the distributor at installation and backed by the manufacturer, not by Delta. It adds 4 years to the tank warranty (10 or 12 years in total, with parts coverage unchanged).

Plumbing, electrical, insulation and remodeling products carry their manufacturer’s warranty.

The manufacturer’s warranty certificate controls. Parts coverage does not necessarily include labor, refrigerant or other service expenses.

Delta’s labor coverage is 1 year on our work, repairs included, in every trade we offer: heating and cooling, water heaters, plumbing, drain and sewer, electrical, attic insulation and bathroom remodeling. The 1-year term applies unless your proposal or invoice states otherwise.

Labor coverage is separate from the manufacturer’s parts warranty.

Refrigerant, recovery, disposal and other consumable-material charges are not automatically included merely because a replacement part is covered. Delta will verify applicable coverage before completing the repair.

Depending on the applicable warranty or service agreement, customers may remain responsible for charges not included in the coverage. Delta will explain any customer responsibility before authorized work begins.

Maintenance requirements vary by manufacturer, equipment and coverage agreement. Refer to the manufacturer certificate and your signed Delta documents.

Registration deadlines vary by manufacturer, and registration can affect how long parts coverage lasts. Delta registers the equipment we install with the manufacturer as a courtesy to our customers.

Keep your registration confirmation with your proposal and invoice. The manufacturer’s records control, so you can confirm your registration using the manufacturer links on this page.

Transferability varies among manufacturer warranties, Delta coverage and separately purchased agreements. Deadlines, documentation and fees may apply. Contact Delta and the manufacturer before or promptly after transferring the property.

  1. Contact Delta: call (623) 240-9892 or request service online.
  2. Give the service address.
  3. Share equipment information if you have it, such as the brand, model and serial number, and your proposal or invoice.
  4. Delta reviews the available records for your equipment and job.
  5. A technician diagnoses the failure.
  6. Delta explains the confirmed coverage and any customer charges.
  7. You authorize any work that is not covered before it begins.

An extended service agreement is separate from Delta’s own warranty. If you purchased a separate extended service agreement, that agreement’s administrator, coverage terms, exclusions and claim procedures control. Provide a copy or agreement number when requesting service.
